Week 1
Launch Polish and First Impressions
Make the first session feel clean, understandable, and worth continuing. This is the week for fixing friction quickly.
- Watch real beginner-route feedback from account creation through Malangdo, Eden, Poring Haven, job change, and first gear.
- Fix missing sprites, client crashes, stuck positions, broken NPCs, or quest hand-in issues as soon as they appear.
- Tune early EXP and reward pacing if Eden, Poring Haven, or custom hunt boards feel too slow or too noisy.
- Keep the wiki updated with answers to actual player questions instead of guessing what players might ask.
- Post short Discord updates so players can see that the server is actively being cared for.
Week 2
Economy and Progression Tuning
Use early player behaviour to tune farming, rewards, and gear paths before the economy has time to settle awkwardly.
- Review the temporary 5x drop launch event and decide whether it should continue, taper down, or become a weekend event.
- Track which materials, cards, and custom items players actually farm or trade.
- Improve wiki guidance for “where do I farm this?†and “what gear should I aim for next?â€
- Adjust Poring Haven, Ocean Gear, Sunfire, and hunt board rewards if they feel underwhelming or confusing.
- Consider a weekly farming spotlight with a featured map, material, or event reward.
Week 3
Events, Community, and Retention
Give players small reasons to gather, talk, screenshot, and come back without needing heavy staff scheduling every day.
- Run simple events such as Find the Mushroom, Poring hunts, trivia, hide-and-seek, or screenshot prompts.
- Keep rewards light: World Tour Tickets, Giant Fly Wings, manuals, vouchers, or cosmetics.
- Make feedback and request channels visible in Discord so players know where suggestions should go.
- Share player screenshots, patch notes, and small “what changed today†posts to show momentum.
- Start asking happy players for RateMyServer reviews after they have had time to play properly.
Week 4
First Focused Content Patch
The first content patch should be meaningful and contained. Better one clean theme than ten scattered systems.
- Proposed patch theme: Tides of Aequoria: Part 1.
- Expand Drowned Aequoria with a short pre-quest, material hunt, or additional objective before the boss.
- Add 2-3 lore quests around Ocean Gear, Coral Reef, and the Tidemark Company.
- Add one small reward path using World Tour Tickets, hunt missions, or custom materials.
- Publish proper patch notes on the website, Discord, RateMyServer, and the wiki.
